Portrait of a Figure

Group Exhibition

  • June 1, 2021 - June 30, 2021
  • OPEN CALL

    EXTENDED DEADLINE: May 28, 2021

Portrait of a Figure is a curated group exhibition that takes a deeper look at the variety and inventiveness surfacing around the face, the body and ways of depicting it and imbuing it with meaning. Our identification with the portrait and the figure enables artists to push the limits of recognizability to its breaking point, allowing a vast range of interpretations while remaining undeniably human. This exhibition seeks to juxtapose styles, approaches and technique being employed by contemporary artists utilizing the human body in their work.

Exhibition runs the month of JUNE 1--30, 2021.

Curated by Rebecca George, CEO/Curator of The Art House Gallery. Exhibit includes a press release and exhibit review. Artwork is NOT FOR SALE through this exhibit; artwork is presented with links for collectors/viewers to contact the artist directly. Accepted artwork is shown with zoom-in feature and a viewing room. Exhibit is promoted through the gallery's Instagram: @thearthousegallery. Exhibit remains linkable/visible beyond the show dates in the past shows/archive.
