Exhibition Description

Working on dark surfaces with lighter and metallic materials, Seki’s gestures “dance like nobody is watching”, drawing inspiration from a buzzing combo of the nightlife and the night sky. 

“Mark making, and the associated sound and movement vibrate as gestures, experiencing all the senses through the creation of the work. This phenomena, Synesthesia, encourages me to work from instinct, making choices as if I were unapologetically dancing on the paper.” –Hannah Seki, 2022
