Bio

Hannah Seki is an emerging contemporary artist born and raised just outside of Tokyo, Japan. She received her B.A. in Studio Art from Mount Holyoke College (2007) and worked towards a painting certificate from The School of the Art Institute in Chicago where she studied under Rebecca George.  She has spent the past 5 years balancing raising two boys while creating primarily abstract pieces in the studio. Hannah’s influences stem from her Japanese upbringing and artists like Toko Shinoda, Franz Klein, Pearle Fine, Gerhard Richter, and Jay DeFeo. Hannah has been in a variety of exhibitions and is currently represented by the Art House Gallery. She currently lives with her husband, two boys, and French Bulldog in Bellevue, WA.
