Working on a board like material provides the challenge of working on a different surface. Due to the porous surface any paint that was water saturated soaked in before much paint spreading was allowed. The same was true with paint straight from the tube. It didn't flow as easily as paint on canvas, also being absorbed by the board. Marks on the right resemble wind-blown grass-like shapes while on the left side marks drift in smoke-like swirls. The bison shapes are largely unmarked. Broad horizontal bands of blended greens and blues recede in the distance.
